Day 1
On the first leg of our three-day trip from Bozeman back to Rapid City, we drove over the Beartooth Highway (US HWY 212) to the junction of WY HWY 296, the Chief Joseph Scenic Byway, through Sunlight Basin. Leesha got out and hiked with us out to one of the iconic scenic overlooks on the Beartooth Highway -- a long hike for a pet cat without a leash!
This children's book tells the story of the death of Mark Engelstad through the eyes of his loving cat, Leesha
We observe our bird feeders and then head out to Custer State Park and the Wildlife Loop for some post blizzard wildlife observation
