Day 10
On day ten of our trip, our friends Dave and Annie took us on a tour of some highlights of Taos. These included the Martinez Hacienda, dating from the very early 1800s, the Harwood Museum, and the house of E. Irving Couse, one of the seminal painters of the Taos Society of Artists started in the 1920s.

Day 9
We left Taos and drove the Enchanted Circle through Angel Fire NM, then to Cimarron NM, Raton NM and to The Spanish Peaks just over the New Mexico border in Colorado at sundown on the Highway of Legends Scenic and Historic Byway. Then we drove back to Taos in the dark.

Day 3
We spent a couple days in Bozeman, visiting Brian's brother, Allen, and friends, Jack and Jane.
Day 5
We drive from Bozeman MT to Great Falls MT on MT HWY 86, US HWY 89, and US HWY 87. Along the way we take more wildflower pictures, meet a wonderful National Forest range in White Sulphur Springs, drive the Kings Hill Scenic Byway through the Little Belt Mountains and the Lewis and Clark National Forest, and arrive in Great Falls.

A day trip to J.H. Keith Memorial Park, the Whitney Preserve, and Cascade Falls in the Black Hills National Forest SD

Leesha and Louise hike around cook Lake while Brian takes photos of fall colors and an osprey.

Day 1
A drive from Bozeman MT to Red Lodge MT and then over the Beartooth Highway (US HWY 212) to Cooke City MT. And then to Gardiner MT.
Day 2
From Marshall MN past the Northern Tallgrass Prairie National Wildlife Refuge, Oakwood Lakes State Park SD, and the flooded Missouri River in Pierre SD.
